How a piece is made
Three steps, none of them skipped

The stone comes first
Nothing is designed around an empty setting. A stone is chosen and measured first, and the piece is drawn to fit that stone and no other.
- 02
Carved, not configured
Each model is cut in wax by hand before it is cast in solid 18K. Wall thickness, gallery height and prong angle are decided at the bench while the wax is still soft.
- 03
Set, then finished twice
Stones are set under the loupe, then the piece is finished, checked, and finished again. It ships with its measurements, taken off the finished piece after the last polish.
Why the runs are small
Made in fives, not in thousands.
A run of five is the largest number one bench can finish without handing the work to a machine. That is why a piece takes four weeks, and why the one you receive was inspected by the person who set it.
